Studying, learning, and comprehending mathematics requires the student to practice doing the type of problems you expect to see on a test. Practice is called homework and it is expected that each student will complete their homework in preparation for the next class day. I believe that learning continues after a specified period of instruction, therefore, I allow students to retake tests. Students are required to bring written proof that they have studied before I will allow them to retake a test. Written proof is at least two (2) samples, solved correctly and showing all required work, of each problem that was incorrect on the original test.
This mathematics class is the beginning of your pemanent high school transcript. Do not fall behind! Please take it very seriously. Work hard, apply yourself, study and you can start your high school academic career with a good grade point average. You CAN do math!
